15-man squad to travel to Dubai

Leicestershire County Cricket Club has announced details of their pre-season programme for 2016, which includes a trip to Dubai.
A 15-man squad has been named for the tour which runs from tomorrow (Saturday, March 12) to Thursday, March 24. During the tour, there will be seven games, starting with a 50-over match against a United Arab Emirates XI on Tuesday, March 15.
The Foxes will play a T20 fixture against Derbyshire on Wednesday, March 16 and a further 20-over match will be played against Yorkshire on Thursday, March 17. MCCU Young Cricketers provide the opposition for two T20 matches on Friday, March 18.
The tour is rounded off with a two-day game against Yorkshire on Tuesday, March 22 and Wednesday, March 23.
Leicestershire CCC Elite Performance Director Andrew McDonald said: “We’re looking forward to it, the finalised dates are in place and the format of the tour looks really good.
“It’s a great addition to the winter programme and that preparation will allow us to hit the ground running, which is a massive help in terms of performance.
“It’s also something for the players to look forward to and is a reward for all of the hard yards they have put in over the winter. We’re extremely grateful that the club has provided us with the opportunity and the players will embrace it.”
Leicestershire’s 15-man squad to Dubai: Aadil Ali, Zak Chappell, Neil Dexter, Ned Eckersley, Lewis Hill, Paul Horton, Jigar Naik, Mark Pettini, Ben Raine, Angus Robson, Rob Sayer, Charlie Shreck, James Sykes, Tom Wells, Wayne White.
* Leicestershire CCC will also play a number of fixtures in the UK as part of preparations for the 2016 campaign.
The team will play two one-day friendlies against Oxford MCCU at The Parks on Tuesday, March 22 and Thursday, March 24 and that is followed by a trip to Derbyshire for a two-day friendly at The 3aaa County Ground on Tuesday, March 29. Please note that the game at Derbyshire is closed to supporters.
Leicestershire travel to Trent Bridge on the next two days (Thursday March 31 and Friday, April 1) for a friendly against Nottinghamshire.
