The county cricket fixture format will remain the same for 2016, with Leicestershire opening their County Championship campaign with a game against Glamorgan at SSE SWALEC on Sunday April 17.
Leicestershire start their season the previous Monday (April 11) with a three-day match at home to Loughborough University and the first County Championship game at Grace Road is against Kent on Sunday, April 24.
Sri Lanka arrive in Leicester for a three-day tourist game between Friday May 13 and Sunday, May 15, and the following Friday (May 20) sees the start of the action-packed NatWest T20 Blast competition with a home match against Northamptonshire Steelbacks.
That is one of five exciting Friday nights of NatWest T20 Blast action with other games against Worcestershire Rapids (Friday, June 17), Birmingham Bears - who attracted the biggest crowd in 2015 - on Friday, June 24, Derbyshire Falcons (Friday, July 8) and Lancashire Lightning (Friday, July 15).
Our other two NatWest T20 Blast games are on a Saturday afternoon and a Tuesday evening respectively as Durham Jets arrive on June 4 while Notts Outlaws are in town for a mouthwatering East Midlands derby on July 12.
The Royal London One Day Cup has a fresh feel after being regionalised like NatWest T20 Blast. There will again be eight group games, with four at Grace Road, with the tournament played in two blocks. Three of those fixtures will be played on a Sunday.
Leicestershire host Durham Jets, Yorkshire Vikings, Lancashire Lightning and Notts Outlaws and face trips to Warwickshire, Northamptonshire Steelbacks, Worcestershire Rapids and Derbyshire Falcons.
June promises to be a busy month at Grace Road with Leicestershire Foxes taking on Durham Jets twice over the weekend of June 4-5. The teams meet in the NatWest T20 Blast on Saturday before playing their Royal London One Day Cup encounter on Sunday.
Elton John brings his Wonderful Crazy Night to Grace Road on Saturday, June 11 and the Foxes then tackle Worcestershire Rapids on Friday, June 17. Our venue will also hold a women’s international between England and Pakistan on Monday, June 20.
Elsewhere in the County Championship, new opposition is provided by Sussex and Worcestershire, and Leicestershire Members and supporters can enjoy trips to Hove on Sunday, May 1 and New Road on Sunday, July 3.
Leicestershire will also visit an outground in the 2016 season when they face Gloucestershire at Cheltenham (Wednesday, July 20).
