Lewis Hill hit a stunning century for Lutterworth as his side won a thrilling game against Sileby by just three runs.
Lutterworth batted first and Hill came to the wicket with the score at 18-1. He batted throughout the innings scoring 128 not out as his side set Sileby 246. Support was sparse for Hill, with extras his side’s second leading contribution with 39.
A second wicket partnership of 129 for Sileby made them favourites to win the game with Luke Gale making 55 and Jake Gillet 82. Liam Kinch also made 44, but from 201-4, Sileby slipped to 242-7 as three wickets fell in Nathan Welham’s last over. For Lutterworth Welham, Karl Smith and Darren Cader all took two wickets.
Kibworth had a comfortable afternoon as they beat Barrow by seven wickets. Barrow won the toss and elected to bat, but struggled to 89 for five. Academy batsman Jack Nightingale top-scored with 27 but Barrow were bowled out for 156. Leicestershire’s Aadil Ali and Charlie Page-Morris each claimed three wickets.
A solid team batting performance saw Kibworth chase down their target. Matt Craven top-scored with 54, Aadil made 23 before Josh Peel was unbeaten on 24* & Hamish Merriman 39*.
Barkby moved away from the relegation places as they beat Loughborough Town. Barkby batted first and amassed 251 for six from their 50 overs, former Fox Matthew Boyce making 81. He was supported by Ben Silver, who made 51, while Hayden Whittaker was 31* at the end of the innings.
Loughborough captain Anish Patel top-scored for his side with 66 but lacked support. Only Charlie Lowen (38) made a score as Loughborough crumbled to 206 all out. Wickets were spread out for Barkby, David Botting took three and Cameron Sharp, Callum Smith and Louis Botting each picked up two.
Kegworth followed up their impressive performance last week with another comfortable win, this time beating Langtons.
Kegworth won the toss and chose to bowl, a decision vindicated when Langtons were bowled out for 106. Ziab Khan took four wickets with the new ball for Kegworth with Alex Fletcher, George Scottorn and Gareth Isaac each taking two. They cruised to a nine-wicket victory as Brent Williams hit 55* and Albert Grieve 26*.
Leicester Ivanhoe returned to winning ways as they beat Market Harborough by 10 wickets. Harborough batted first and made 105 before being bowled out. Mitchell Carey returned four wickets for Ivanhoe, including a hat-trick. Leicestershire’s Sam Evans and Joe Kendall then knocked off the runs for in just 12 overs, both batsmen hitting unbeaten half-centuries.
The final game of the division saw Syston beat Uppingham by 65 runs. Syston won the toss and elected to bat making 222 for the loss of six wickets in their 50 overs. Ram Ghuman scored 73 and Charles Wootton made 49.
Uppingham never really tested their hosts as they were bowled out for 157, Mo Pardesi the star for Syston, taking five for 27.
