Ben Mike was in fine form with the ball as he took a hat-trick for Loughborough Town in helping his side to defend 104 against Kegworth on Saturday.
All-rounder Nat Bowley top-scored for Loughborough with 35 as Ziab Khan and Brent Williams both took three wickets for Kegworth.
Mike then got to work as he and Academy players Bowley and Ashish Trusz ran through the Kegworth line up. Mike finished with six for 33, Trusz 2-29 and Bowley 2-15 to wrap up a brilliant win for Loughborough.
Leicester Ivanhoe were knocked off top of the table as they suffered a four-wicket defeat to Langtons. Ivanhoe batted first and were bowled out for 180, Lee Hunt top scored with 28 and James Graham made 23*.
Hunt then was in fine form with the ball taking four wickets, however it wasn’t enough as Langtons, who were 157 for three at one stage, reached their total with four wickets to spare.
Lutterworth were the main beneficiaries of Ivanhoe’s defeat as they leapfrogged them in the table, in another close-run game against Uppingham.
The hosts batted first and made 148 with Matt Pickering top-scoring with 46. Craig Wilson added a useful 27 and 18 extras helped the Lutterworth cause. Danny Dumford and Tom Hynes both took three wickets for Uppingham.
In reply, Uppingham were 99 for three and seemingly well on their way to victory. However, Nathan Welham took four wickets, Karl Smith claimed three and Wesley Marshall two as Uppingham slipped to 123 all out.
Barrow narrowly beat Sileby in a thrilling game that went to the last ball of the innings. Barrow batted first with Ramesh Kara (65) and Rishi Patel (64) adding 129 for the first wicket.
Jigar Naik (four for 46) removed both half-centurions, but Heath Pedrola made 46 as Barrow made 262 from their 50 overs.
All-rounder Naik then kept his side in the game with 90 from No.4 as Sileby were 81-3; Liam Kinch made 28 and Brady Glennon 34.
When Glennon fell, Sileby were 216-5 but Naik was keeping his side’s hopes alive, until he fell with Sileby needing 6 to win. Sileby couldn’t get the runs required losing by one run.
Dave Whitmore took five wickets for Kibworth as they beat Market Harborough with ease. Harborough were bowled out for 93 with James Nuttall top scoring with an unbeaten 39. Darren Shaw and Monik Patel also both took two wickets.
Foxes all-rounder Aadil Ali opened the batting with Harry Pounds for Kibworth and Aadil smashed 61 before being the only wicket to fall as Kibworth won by nine wickets.
The final game of the division saw Syston beat Barkby. Syston made 221 batting first with Ram Ghuman top-scoring with 54. He was well-supported by wicket-keeper Charles Wootton, who made 37.
Ryan Waplington was the pick of the Barkby bowlers taking 4-43 from his 10 overs. Martin Troop made 35 at the top of the order for Barkby and Academy all-rounder Harry Funnell 32 as well as skipper Steve Flowers making 75 to keep Barkby in the game.
However, a lower order collapse saw Barkby fall to 208 all out, Ghuman taking 4-10 and Mo Pardesi 3-30.
