Leicestershire County Cricket Club is delighted to announce an invigorated partnership with The Leicestershire Golf Club.
The two organisations have worked closely over the years and this association will see our players and coaches continue to use the fantastic facilities on Evington Lane.
In return, The Leicestershire Golf Club will have the opportunity to come to our matches in the 2015 season along with a range of other benefits, including an invitation to our ‘Day in the life of a cricketer’ event.
With The Leicestershire Golf Club having USGA greens and renowned for being playable all year round, it offers both The Leicestershire Golf Club and Leicestershire County Cricket Club the ability to play their annual match before the cricket season commences.
Leicestershire CCC batsman Matthew Boyce said: “I am a keen golfer myself and this association will be much valued by the players and coaches at Leicestershire County Cricket Club.
“We enjoy a round of golf on the odd day off we get and the course and facilities at The Leicestershire Golf Club are absolutely first class.
“I’d like to thank the Leicestershire Golf Club on behalf of everybody at the club – and we’ll be keen to win the trophy back next year after I missed a putt to halve the match in March!”
