Aadil's all-round show for Kibworth

Aadil Ali shone for Kibworth in a high-scoring draw against Sileby Town in the recent round of Everards Leicestershire and Rutland Premier League fixtures.

Aadil scored 104, sharing 167 for the first wicket with Matt Craven and 63 for the second wicket with Pite van Biljoen, who smashed 115 not out off 64 balls as Kibworth racked up 347-3.

Sileby produced a spirited reply of 284-6 as Liam Kinch became the game's third centurion while Aadil took 2-31 from nine overs.

There have been contrasting fortunes for Kegworth and Enderby since their respective promotions.

Kegworth are top of the table and strengthened that position with a maximum 30-point success to continue Enderby's winless run.

The away side scored 285-5 as overseas star Brent Williams (90) and wicket-keeper Adam Meads (64) had a profitable opening partnership.

Seth Jackson (4-22) then helped to bowl Enderby out for 146 while Leicestershire Academy spinner James Dickinson chipped in with 1-22 from six overs as Kegworth claimed their fourth win of the season.

Tom Flowers, who came through the system at Leicestershire, scored 43 as Barkby United overhauled Market Harborough's 134.

Eamonn Burke (10-2-21-4) and Cameron Sharp (10-1-23-3) shone for Barkby, and although former Foxes all-rounder Rob Taylor pegged back progress in taking 3-45, including the wicket of Flowers, it was not enough.

The result meant that Barkby, who have profited by 26 points after being awarded their game against Rothley Park due to the opposition having a player registration issue, are now up to second place.

Leicestershire Academy batsman Ben Mike scored a terrific unbeaten 90 to guide Loughborough Town to their second win of the season at Lutterworth.

Craig Wilson hit 85 not out as the hosts made 203-9, and although James Sykes took 2-54 off ten overs, Mike struck nine fours and five sixes in his 92-ball knock.

Rothley Park find themselves bottom of the table following the points deduction. They shared the spoils with Leicester Ivanhoe after a close draw.

Hamzah Khan continued his good form with 110 and Richard Williams made 98 to guide Rothley Park to 246-7, James Graham of Leicestershire Young Cricketers taking a hat-trick for Ivanhoe.

The hosts replied with 228-9 as Peter Dickson posted 118 and Jake Beaumont scored 62 while Adil Mehmood and former Leicestershire seamer Iain O'Brien shared seven wickets.

In the division's other fixture, there was a comfortable eight-wicket success for Barrow Town against Syston Town. The visitors scored 194-9 and Syston were guided home by Rahul Avtar (115*) and Tim Taylor (53*).
