Leicestershire County Cricket Club has announced that Alex Wyatt and Neil Pinner will not have their contracts renewed at the end of the season.

Wyatt came through the age groups and Academy system at Grace Road and made his first-class debut for the club in 2009. The seamer took 57 wickets in red ball cricket for Leicestershire at an average of 36.40.

The recently turned 25-year-old also claimed 14 wickets with the white ball, including a career-best 3-14 in the NatWest T20 Blast at Durham in 2009.

Pinner signed from Worcestershire last winter after impressing in the Leicestershire Second XI. The middle order batsman scored 365 first-class runs in six matches for the club at an average of 36.50 with a highest score of 165* against Cambridge MCCU.

The 24-year-old Pinner also played in two NatWest T20 Blast matches this season, where he bowled two overs for the Foxes.

Leicestershire and Rutland Cricket Chief Executive Wasim Khan MBE said: “We would like to thank Alex and Neil for their efforts at Leicestershire County Cricket Club. They are both terrific professionals and we would like to wish them all the very best for the future.”
