Blast is back “ everything you need to know

The 2021 Vitality Blast returns as Leicestershire Foxes get their T20 campaign up and running, with an away fixture against Lancashire Lightning on Thursday, June 10.

Friday, June 11 sees T20 cricket return to the Uptonsteel County Ground as Derbyshire Falcons make the trip.

You can find the full Leicestershire Foxes 2021 Vitality Blast schedule HERE.

The Vitality Blast returns to a 14-match group-stage format with the First-Class Counties split into traditional North and South Groups.

Each county will, therefore, play seven matches at home, and seven matches away, with the top four counties in each group progressing to the quarterfinals.

The quarter-finals will be seeded with the higher-seeded team set to host their quarter-final.

The four winners of the quarterfinals (24-27 August) progress to Finals Day. Finals Day will be staged at Edgbaston on Saturday, September 18.

All knockout matches will have a reserve day should that be required.

The Running Foxes reached the Quarter-Finals stage of the competition in 2020, narrowly missing out on a Finals Day place. The Running Foxes are #HungryForMore as they head into the 2021 season.

Visiting the Uptonsteel County Ground

We are delighted to be able to welcome fans back into the ground once again and enjoyed seeing some familiar faces throughout the Championship home victories against Middlesex CCC and Gloucestershire CCC.

For those who have secured tickets for the Vitality Blast, the Club will still enforce our strict COVID guidelines that have been supplied by the government.

Although there will be restrictions imposed on those in the ground, the club want to emphasise that it is following the guidance of the government and enforce these restrictions with the utmost importance placed up on the health and safety of everyone in the ground, including the spectators.

The Club have produced a ‘Return of Spectators’ checklist to ensure that all spectators fully prepared for attending a match at the Uptonsteel County Ground. The full checklist can be found HERE.

The Club will also release a Matchday Guide ahead of each fixture to provide information to fans ahead of each specific fixture.

The Uptonsteel Count Ground is Cashless

The Club recently announced that the Uptonsteel County Ground is now cashless and that no cash payments will now be accepted in-ground.

The decision has been made to support with the safe return of spectators to the Uptonsteel County Ground as cashless payments reduces the physical exchange of cash between fans and staff.
