Chance to Shine day at FCG

What better way to enjoy a day of the summer holidays than experiencing fun cricket activities at the Fischer County Ground, the home of Leicestershire CCC?

Open to children of any ability aged six and 12, the day will allow them to learn about the game and develop their cricketing skills. Comprising of sessions run by high quality, qualified coaches, the camp will also contain kwik cricket style matches allowing each child to show off their newly learned skills.

The activities, that run next Tuesday (August 2nd), are supported by Waitrose who will be on hand to provide packed lunches and smoothies throughout the day, promoting healthy living and highlighting the importance to exercise.

Leicestershire CCC batsman Niall O'Brien and Lydia Greenway, who retired earlier this year from the England Women’s squad, will help to coach the children on the day.

It costs just £10 per child (+ booking fee). Waitrose have also pledged to donate £5 to Chance to Shine for every child in attendance.

Camps are running throughout the region next week and for more information and to see all of the locations, please visit http://www.leicestershirecricket.co.uk/camps/
