Club Partner Programme Launched for 2022

Leicestershire County Cricket Club are strengthening links with all levels of Club Cricket across the County with the launch of their Club Partner Programme for 2022.

Interest in cricket across Leicestershire is on the up with the Leicestershire & Rutland Cricket League reporting a healthy increase in the number of adult teams entering their League structure this season, and the Running Foxes are keen to play their part in supporting the recreational game.

At Thursday’s League Annual General Meeting (AGM) - attended by around 150 local cricket club representatives - Leicestershire presented their plans for 2022.

The free-to-join Club Partner programme is open to all local cricket clubs and provides a host of benefits to both the Club and its players and supporting volunteers.

Clubs can apply for grants for ground and equipment improvements, enjoy discounts on indoor net hire as well as discounts on playing and training kit in conjunction with club partners; Surridge. Meanwhile their players and supporting volunteers will now all get access to discounted T20 Vitality Blast tickets, complimentary LV= Insurance County Championship and Royal London Cup tickets, plus priority access to tickets for the highly anticipated visit of the India in June.    

Speaking after last night's launch, Sean Jarvis, CEO at LCCC commented: “We are delighted to be working so closely with the thriving club game.

“First and foremost, we have an obligation as the professional club in the county to support the game at all levels. A healthy club game is essential for the sport, but as we continue the re-building at the Uptonsteel County Ground, we want everyone within the cricket community to be part of that journey.

“It was great to see a number of clubs sign up within an hour of the launch and we encourage any clubs interested in signing up, to get in touch straight away.”
