Leicestershire County Cricket Club can confirm that Louis Kimber has been identified as a close contact to an individual with a positive lateral flow test. Therefore in keeping with Government advice, the Club has requested that Louis self-isolates whilst the individual obtains a PCR test.
Louis has returned a negative lateral flow test today as part of the Club’s regular screening protocol, has no symptoms, and is feeling well in himself. The Club has identified no other close contacts within the playing group or backroom staff.
The T20 Vitality Blast fixture due to be held tonight at the Uptonsteel County Ground against Northamptonshire Steelbacks has not been impacted and will go ahead according to the schedule.
