January 2021 - A Strong Opening
January 2021 has seen a height of activity which has been communicated to fans, Members, commercial partners and wider stakeholders.
Leicestershire County Cricket Club are committed to being transparent with everyone associated with the Club.
As the Club drives forward through its new chapter, to create a brighter future, it’s also important to take a look back at the previous months activities.
The Marketing and Communications Team provide a summary as to the latest news that has occurred throughout January 2021.
Announcements
The first of it's kind in cricket, Leicestershire CCC launched a Global Alliance Network with South African based club, Cape Cobras, looking to share best practice and commercial knowledge between clubs operating at a similar level around the world.
The first overseas signing sees Wiaan Mulder join the Running Foxes for the LV=County Championship and Royal London Cup competitions.
A change in ground naming rights saw Uptonsteel further their partnership with the Club. It is fantastic to continue and grow the relationship with Uptonsteel in this way as we welcome cricket to the Uptonsteel County Ground in 2021.
Virat Kohli’s India will be playing at the Uptonsteel County Ground in July. The Club have seen a huge interest in this fixture already and encourage anyone interested to register to be the first to hear any updates.
Club News
The LCCC Foundation welcomed two new trustees to oversee the running and operations of the charity arm of the Club, and the Club's official JustGiving page is now live.
The Academy and Women’s and Girls teams provided a round-up as to their plans for the beginning of 2021.
The Partner Club Programme has been launched with the Club seeking feedback from Members of grass roots Cricket Clubs from across the County to shape the programme.
The Club provided an opportunity for young cricketers aged between 18 and 24 to submit video footage to be reviewed by the First Team coaches, as LCCC looks to provide opportunities for talented cricketers around the County.
A number of Foxes Flashbacks with the help of Club Historian, Richard Holdridge, including the birthday of the only member of the Foxes family to have received a knighthood, Sir Andy Roberts.
The Club welcomed a new recruit, Jacqui Dean, as the Club's Administration and Governance Manager as we continue to improve our procedures and policies.
Official Partners
The Club have welcomed an additional five partners to the Club.
A milestone of 20 Official Partners have now been announced ahead of the 2021 season with more due over the coming weeks.

Player Sponsorships
In the build up to the 2021 season, the Player Sponsorship packages have been snapped up with a further three packages confirmed and announced.
If you’re interested in sponsoring a player for the season, make sure you get in touch sooner rather than later.
