Leicestershire County Cricket Club will hold a fundraising testimonial for former player David Munden at Grace Road on Saturday, June 20th.
David played Second XI cricket for Leicestershire from 1975 to 1981 and his father Victor and uncles Donald and Paul also represented the club.
David went on to become a very well-known cricket photographer but was sadly forced to retire from photography when he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease. The testimonial will raise money for David, his family and the Parkinson’s Disease charity.
Former Gloucestershire and Durham all-rounder Phil Bainbridge was a student with David at Borough Road College and, along with former colleagues Andy Ward, Mike Hayward and Olympian Alan Cearns, have organised the special evening.
The event starts at 6pm and will include a champagne reception, hog roast, raffle, prestige auction and open mic and costs £25 if booked in advance or £30 on the door.
If you would like to order tickets please contact Alan Cearns info@supremeteam.org / 07768 508721 or Phil Bainbridge phil@rhodes-events.co.uk / 07971 619502.
If you would like to make a donation payments can be made to the Charity Event Account, sort code 60-17-24 and account number: 76099512.
We look forward to see you on the night.
