REPORT | Day three of the LV= County Championship fixture between Leicestershire CCC and Sussex CCC was a washout with no balls bowled at the Uptonsteel County Ground.
The rain began prior to the start time of 10:30am and continued to fall throughout the morning resulting in a delayed start. Lunch was taken at the normal time of 12:30pm, with an inspection following. Further inspection then took place at 2:00pm with stumps being called at 2:05pm after umpires Robinson and Newell were in agreement that no cricket will be able to take place.
With tomorrow set to be the final day of cricket in the Running Foxes' 2021 calendar to take place at the Uptonsteel County Ground, we are hopeful that the two teams can commence the first innings.
