Dearden and Delport hit centuries

Leicestershire opener Harry Dearden hit his first hundred for Kegworth but it was not enough to prevent them suffering a 20-run loss at the hands of Kibworth in the Everards Leicestershire and Rutland Premier League.
Winning the toss, Kegworth chose to bowl first, and will have been pleased at the halfway mark, managing to bowl Kibworth out for 239. Pite van Biljon top scored for Kibworth with 57. In reply Kegworth were bowled out for 209 with Dearden top scoring with 115.
Market Harborough were five-wicket winners against Enderby on Saturday despite a terrific all-round performance from Callum Parkinson.
Enderby batted first and Parkinson scored 70 out of his side’s 186. For Market Harborough Laurence Perry starred with the ball bowling 10-4-17-5. Rob Taylor also bowled well, starting with the new ball and taking 2-29 after his ten overs.
The visitors’ first wicket put on 56 before Taylor was dismissed for for 39 off just 29 balls, hitting seven fours and a six in the process. Kevin Innes settled the ship for Market Harborough with a patient 57 not out, putting on 66 with Patrick Sadd (30*) to see their side home. With the ball Parkinson continued his great game, finishing with superb figures of 10-2-12-3.
Cameron Delport was in superb form as Rothley Park continued their hot streak, chasing down 226 against Barrow Town.
At 69-5 Barrow looked in trouble but Sardeep Salgotra followed up his 50 last week to score a stunning 116 off 86 balls, his innings contained ten fours and eight maximums. Iain O’Brien took four wickets for Rothley and Delport bowled economically, taking 2-39 off 8 overs.
Delport then smashed hitting 105 off just 53 balls, hitting ten fours and eight maximums. Saif Kazim and Philip DeFreitas both scored 26 to get their side to touching distance and O’Brien finished 28 not out to see Rothley to a four-wicket win. Rob Sayer performed well with the ball for Barrow, bowling 9-2-49-2.
Sileby Town went top of the Everards Premier League with a four-wicket win over Leicester Ivanhoe. Leicester Ivanhoe batted first and reached 252-9 from their 50-over allocation.
Harry Swindells scored his fourth half-century of the season with 56 while Abdul Malik top-scored with 57 from 55 balls. Wickets were shared for Sileby with four different bowlers taking two wickets, Matt Ellis was the most effective bowling his 10 overs for just 45 runs whilst taking two wickets.
In reply Jake Gillett was the glue for the Sileby innings scoring 94 from 123 balls (12x4, 1x6). He was supported by Jigar Naik 38 and Liam Kinch 33 and Mitchell Buck’s 43 not out came quicker than a run a ball to see his side home with three overs remaining.
Syston Town were clinical in beating Loughborough Town, Loughborough were bowled out for 126, Tom Wells opened the batting for Loughborough and top scored with 31, Zahir Taher was superb for Syston taking 4-16 from his 10 overs.
In reply Leicestershire Academy player Ben Mike gave Loughborough hope, taking two early wickets leaving Syston Town at 15-2, but Charles Wootton and Daniel Vernon put on 68 for the fourth wicket to see their side to a seven-wicket victory.
Leaders Barkby United suffered defeat for the first time in five weeks at the hands of Lutterworth Town. Barkby chose to bowl first and Lutterworth scored 217-7, Matt Pickering top-scoring with 52 and Karl Smith helped boost the score to 217 with 44 not out.
For Barkby Cameron Sharp was the star with the ball taking 3-43. Dave Tew top scored for Barkby with 72 but Alec Hill followed up his five-wicket haul last weekend with four wickets for 44 runs. Barkby were bowled out for 179.
