Leicestershire's Cameron Delport had a debut to remember for Tudhoe CC, producing a magnificent knock against Blaydon in the North East Premier League Division One.
The big-hitting batsman struck 15 fours and 14 sixes on his way to an amazing 183 not out from just 77 balls as he tormented the Blaydon attack.
Tudhoe lost regular wickets despite Delport’s onslaught and were all out for 260 in just 32.4 overs.
There was an extraordinary conclusion as Blaydon managed to bat out the remaining 72 overs of the game to score 226-7 and therefore secure a losing draw.
Meanwhile, in the latest round of Everards Premier League fixtures, Leicestershire Academy all-rounder Sam Evans enjoyed a great day with both bat and ball, helping Leicester Ivanhoe cruise to a 114-run home win against Earl Shilton.
The opener's 68, along with James Kirkham's 82 not out, helped the hosts to 242-6 from their 50 overs. He then tore through the Shilton batting line-up with 5-25 as the visitors fell to 128 all out.
Fellow Academy prospect Jack Gilford also played his part, hitting a quickfire 22 from 18 before producing a miserly spell of bowling, conceding just 13 runs and taking one wicket from his five overs.
Kibworth eased to victory at Barrow, their seven-wicket success lifting them above Syston and Sileby at the league's summit. The day's big clash between the previous pacesetters was abandoned without play, as was the match between Rothey Park and Loughborough Town.
Bhavik Patel's 3-26, along with Darren Shaw's and Matthew Bashford's two wickets apiece, restricted the home side to 132 all out and, in response, Sundeep Patel's 34 from 38 led the charge to victory for Kibworth.
Barkby United won by four wickets away at Market Harborough to leapfrog their hosts into fourth place.
Harborough posted 160-9, with Tom Flowers, Matthew Boyce, Jamie Drake and Rob Townsend claiming two scalps each. Flowers then hit 70 at the top of the order to help Barkby seal the win, despite the best efforts of Joe Gordon, who took 4-28.
In the other game of the day, Hinckley picked up a crucial victory at Lutterworth. The home side won the toss and elected to bat, making 148 before Will Hunt guided Hinckley home by a five-wicket margin.
