Leicestershire County Cricket Club are sad to announce that Don Tebbutt has passed away.
Don was Chairman of the club in 1989-1990, Treasurer from 1981-1989, a Committee member for over ten years and a Life Member. During this time he was manager of the club’s tours to Holland and Zimbabwe.
Don was a keen cricketer and was a founder member of Leicester Cricket Club (Leicester Town) and he played for the Leicestershire Club and Ground and Leicestershire CCC Second XI.
He was a partner in Tebbutt Brown Sports Ltd until he retired to Spain with his wife Dorothy in 1990.
His funeral will take place at the South Leicestershire Memorial Park & Crematorium, Countesthorpe on Friday, October 9 at 1pm.
