Leicestershire County Cricket Club is delighted to announce a continuation of our partnership with Edmonds & Slatter Opticians following a highly successful 2015 season.
The eyecare specialists initially provided support to the club during the 2012 season before coming on board with the club as our official Optical Partners last year.
Edmonds & Slatter will test the Leicestershire CCC squad under the ECB guidelines at their branch in Blaby. Each player will have a 40-minute examination, widefield retinal screening, and Edmonds & Slatter will also provide a full report on each player.
One of Leicestershire CCC’s new signings, experienced opening batsman Paul Horton, will be making his first trip to the Edmonds & Slatter Blaby branch in the near future.
He said: “Having an examination from Edmonds & Slatter is imperative to us all, and is especially valuable to me as an opening batsman.
“Pre-season preparation is about getting ready for the new campaign and an eye test is an essential part of that alongside all of our cricket practice and strength and conditioning work.
“I’d like to thank Edmonds & Slatter for continuing their partnership on behalf of the whole playing squad at Leicestershire County Cricket Club and we look forward to working with the company again.”
Tim Cole, partner at Edmonds & Slatter, who also have branches in Glenfield and Lutterworth, said: “We are proud to be the Official Opticians for LCCC and look forward to seeing the squad in our Blaby practice for their pre-season sight tests.
“The players can be confident that they will receive the best quality eye care ahead of what we hope will be a successful 2016 season.”
