England Women to play One Day International at Grace Road

We are excited to announce that Leicester will once again play host to Heather Knight’s England side as they take on South Africa in a multi-format series this summer.

The Uptonsteel County Ground will stage the final match of the Royal London series in a day/night ODI on Monday 18 July, 2pm.

Grace Road has become a fan favourite for hosting Women’s International cricket in recent years having successfully been a host venue for the ICC Women’s World Cup in 2017 and the Women’s Ashes in 2019 and the club expects tickets to be in high demand for what is set to be another special occasion.

Leicestershire CCC’s Head of Marketing & Consumer Sales, Jack Bradley commented “We are delighted to have been selected to host an England Women’s fixture once again, it is extremely exciting to be staging an international fixture in the city this summer.

“With the women’s game seeing major growth, I am hoping this fixture will inspire more women and girls to play and watch cricket”.

Tickets

Leicestershire County Cricket Club will open a priority window to Members, previous Women’s International ticket purchasers and fans who have registered their interest for priority ticket access, which will open on Tuesday 1 March at 10am for a two week period.

General ticket on-sale will then open on Tuesday 15 March at 10am.
