Family Fun Day 14.08.2022 - All You Need To Know

Bring the whole family together this summer!

Join us for our ‘Go Wild’ Themed Family Fun Day at the Uptonsteel County Ground on Sunday 14th August. Leicestershire CCC will face Warwickshire at the halfway stage in the Royal London Cup.

The occasion provides a great family day out before children return to school after the summer holidays full of activities with the chance to watch the Foxes in action.

To make the day even better, entry is just £1 per ticket!

You will be sent tickets to your email address which you can print at home or download onto your mobile device to be scanned in at the entry gate.

Matchday Activities

There will be entertainment for the whole family with a wide range of fun activities between 11am and 4pm.

This year's Family Fun Day includes a ‘Go Wild’ theme with live animal displays taking place in the Mike Turner Cricket Centre and jungle dance sessions for the kids! 

You can catch the live animal displays including up to 15 different species of wild animals either side of the lunch interval.

The Foxes Den will be open throughout the day where our professional coaching staff will be running different activities for everyone to try out and learn new cricket skills.

There will also be a bouncy castle and slide in the Foxes Den and make sure to visit our arts and crafts marquee located next to the manual scoreboard.

Soak up the whole match day atmosphere in our Fan Zone with a local DJ and Food and Drink outlets. 

Interval Activities

During the 45-minute innings interval, you’ll be able to make your way on to our hallowed turf, with a bat and ball and have a bit of cricketing fun! Look out for Charlie Fox who will also be on the pitch meeting his fans. 

Food & Drink

A wide range of food and drink options will be on offer. Make sure you visit the Friends of Grace Road who will be located upstairs in The Meet serving their delicious famous homemade cakes during the afternoon.

The popular Charles Palmer Restaurant will be serving lunch throughout the afternoon. The menu options change daily and are proudly cooked using a majority of freshly procured local ingredients.

A delicious three-course lunch with coffee and red fox mints is available for £21.95 (two course option for £19.00). It is strongly advised to book in advance, as our Restaurant fills quickly. We are also pleased to offer child portions on our menu.

There will also be an Ice Cream Van and a Sweet Stall at the ground located in the Fan Zone.
