First day against Loughborough MCCU abandoned

Leicestershire CCC has announced that the first day's play of the university fixture against Loughborough MCCU, due to take place tomorrow (Friday, April 13), has been abandoned due to the wet weather.
Ground preparation has been badly affected over the winter and more recent heavy rain this week has left the Fischer County Ground sodden.
It has been decided that calling off tomorrow’s play at this stage will give the best possible opportunity for play on Saturday and Sunday.
The game is due to start at 11am on Saturday, and a further update on conditions will be provided tomorrow.
