FoGR support Academy & LYC presentation
Tue 10 Apr 2018
Tue 10 Apr 2018

The first LCCC Academy & Leicestershire Young Cricketers Annual Awards Evening in association with the Friends of Grace Road (FoGR) was recently held in the Charles Palmer Suite at the Fischer County Ground.
The event was led by Academy Director Andy Siddall and supported by Leicestershire CCC Head Coach Paul Nixon and FoGR Chairman Roy Bent, with over 100 players and families in attendance.
One of the key themes of the evening was how Nixon is working with the Academy and is keen to bring through more young cricketers, similar to his journey at Leicestershire CCC.
Nixon and the Leicestershire CCC professional coaches have been working with the Academy players over the winter. The FoGR will further support the Academy and Leicestershire Young Cricketers during the 2018 season by sponsoring a number of fixtures (listed below).
Roy explained that the FoGR raises funds for the Club by selling teas, coffees and homemade cakes from the FoGR Café in the Meet during the summer and by organising various events during the off-season.
Leicestershire CCC would like to take this opportunity to thank all parents, players and coaches for coming along to the event, and to the FoGR for their continued support of the Academy, Leicestershire Young Cricketers and the Club in general.
