Leicestershire County Cricket Club was delighted to welcome back a host of former players during the Royal London One-Day Cup match against Nottinghamshire Outlaws yesterday.
A number of our former players were in attendance on Sunday including our Chairman, Paul Haywood, who hosted the event in the Illingworth Suite alongside wife Jayne.
We welcomed back Peter Willey, Barry Dudleston, Peter Booth, John Carter, Geoff Coe, Don Munden, Bob Gardner, Bernie Cromack, Freddie Foulds, Geoff Hickinbottom, Laurie Potter and Terry Spencer as our guests, with family members also coming along to the Fischer County Ground.
The match against the Outlaws was a thrilling spectacle of cricket with a couple of former Foxes in action on the day in Harry Gurney and Greg Smith.
Leicestershire CCC would like to thank all of our former players for coming and if any of our past players would like to get in touch, please call 0116 245 2401 or email enquiries@leicestershireccc.co.uk and we can provide details about our LCCC Numbers Club.
That system sees each and every player who has represented Leicestershire CCC in first-class cricket being given a number, which is then embroidered into a special tie and shown on the cap when they represent the club.
The club also has a Twitter account to keep in touch and to update with news about our former players, so please follow @LCCCNumbersClub on our social media page.
