Foxes go Green!

Leicestershire County Cricket Club is partnering with Green Goblet ahead of the NatWest T20 Blast campaign to give Members and supporters a memorable drinking experience at the ground.

By introducing new reusable Leicestershire Foxes branded cups at our ground, the aim is to lower our carbon footprint by stopping thousands of disposable plastic cups going into landfill.

The Foxes recognises that disposable cups have become one of the greatest pollutants in the world, and because they take hundreds of years to biodegrade this has a massive impact on the environment, we needed to look for a solution.

Green Goblet is thrilled that Leicestershire CCC are leading the way forward in environmental sustainability. These new reusable cups will provide Members and supporters with a sturdier drinking cup, giving a better drinking experience and an exciting souvenir cup to take home at the end of the event if they want.

The system will work by paying a £1.00 deposit for their reusable cup with the first drink brought.

Every subsequent drink will be poured into a clean reusable cup. When the fan has finished drinking, they can either keep the cup as a souvenir or return it to a 'cup refund point' in exchange for their deposit.

It really is a winning formula - less landfill, a greener event and a perfect take home souvenir for the fan.
