Foxes launch Club Champions scheme

Leicestershire County Cricket Club have this week launched a pilot scheme designed to promote the club to new audiences and enhance engagement with current supporters. Participants in the scheme will be known as ‘Club Champions’.

Members who expressed an interest were invited to attend a meeting with Chris Tinbergen, Board of Directors and Steve Ball, Membership & Ticketing Manager at the Fischer County Ground. Karen Rothery, CEO was also in attendance.

Chris gave a short presentation covering a number of areas, including enhancing engagement with members, actioning positive change and spreading the club’s message to a wider audience. He then opened up to the floor which was incredibly positive, with several thoughts and opinions on how the club can strengthen its position amongst the current membership, the wider community, schools, clubs and colleges.

Chris outlined his vision for the scheme, with the Club Champions promoting LCCC to their respective networks, friends, family, colleagues and associates:

“This is one of many positive steps we are taking at the club to engage our supports and grow our audience, the energy in the room was very positive and I am very optimistic about the impact this group can have moving forward.

I would like to thank the members who gave up their time and attended in support of the club.”

Moving forward the Club Champions aims to meet on a regular basis to gain feedback and discuss ideas from members, supporters and the wider community. If you would like to join the group please contact Steve Ball at steveball@leicestershireccc.co.uk or 0116 245 2401.
