Last weekend’s Everards Leicestershire and Rutland Premier League fixtures included a superb eight-wicket victory for Kibworth with Aadil Ali scoring an unbeaten 95, coming from just 97 balls including twelve fours and a six.
Kibworth’s victory came against Syston Town, Charlie Page-Morris and Mahang Patel both took three wickets with Syston bowled out for 145. Aadil batting at three came in with the score 22-1 and put on 107 with Pite van Biljon who ended 15 not out.
Top of the table Barkby United were victorious against Kegworth Town, winning by four wickets. Kegworth won the toss and elected to bat, but were bowled out for 165. Will Fazakerley celebrated his contract extension at Leicestershire with two wickets and Ian Kirk was Barkby’s stand out bowler, returning figures of 10-1-33-3.
Barkby chased down 165 for the loss of six wickets. Kirk backed up his superb figures with an unbeaten 80 with Barkby winning with 22.1 overs to spare.
Leicester Ivanhoe took on Lutterworth on Saturday, having won the toss, Leicester Ivanhoe batted first, Academy player Harry Swindells top scored with 79.
Alec Hill took 5 wickets for 38 runs as Leicester Ivanhoe were bowled out for 176. In reply, Lutterworth chased down the score for the loss of just 4 wickets. Lewis Hill, on his return from injury, top-scored with 56*.
Loughborough Town and Barrow Town shared over 600 runs and 18 wickets on Saturday in an entertaining fixture in which Rob Sayer had an outstanding game.
Batting first Barrow Town scored 316-8 from their 50 overs. On the back of his 100 last week, Rob Sayer scored a rapid 45 off just 29 balls, including seven fours and a brace of sixes. Barrow captain Tim Taylor top-scored for his side with 83 not out, Sardeep Salgotra also scored 57.
In reply Loughborough opener James Rishton scored a sublime 146 off just 88 balls, hitting 18x4 and 6x6. Tom Wells pitched in with 37 but the Barrow score proved to be too much. Sayer returned fantastic figures of 10-1-38-5 and Barrow won by 29 runs.
Sileby recorded a comprehensive victory over Market Harborough by a 187-run margin. Batting first Sileby scored 325-7, opening pair Luke Gale and Dave Torr put on 159 for the first wicket, Gale scored 109 and Torr scored 71.
Joe Gordon took four wickets for Market Harborough, who were then bowled out for 138, former fox Rob Taylor and Kevin Innes top-scored with 37. Jigar Naik continued his fine season bowling 8-2-15-5.
In the bottom of the table clash between Rothley Park and Enderby, Rothley Park secured a comfortable victory. Enderby batted first and scored 185. Callum Parkinson top-scored for Enderby with 55, Saif Kazim did most of the damage for Rothley Park taking 4-18 from his 10 overs. Cameron Delport was economical for Rothley Park bowling 8-1-27-0.
In response Delport went off to a flyer, scoring 34 from his first 11 balls, including 4x4 and 3x6, before being dismissed from the 12th ball faced. Nitish Kumar picked up where Delport started in scoring 97 not out from 55 balls, hitting 13x4 and 4x6. Rothley Park ran out eight-wicket winners.
