An astonishing innings by Brisbane Heat's Chris Lynn denied Sydney Thunder their opening KFC Big Bash 06 victory after a thrilling game at Spotless Stadium.
England white ball captain Eoin Morgan made 52 and a late cameo from Chris Green helped Thunder post a competitive 157-7 from their 20 overs.
Clint McKay took a wicket with the second ball of the Heat reply and they looked in trouble at 63-6 after the first ball of the 11th over.
But Lynn batted brilliantly to make 85 not out off 48 balls as Brisbane won with two balls to spare, McKay finishing with figures of 1-38 from his four overs.
The result was a third consecutive loss for reigning champions Thunder, who lost the opening game of the 2016-17 tournament to Sydney Sixers and were also beaten by Melbourne Renegades.
* New Leicestershire signing Colin Ackermann scored 33 for Warriors in the recent CSA T20 Challenge Final but it wasn't quite enough to secure victory.
Titans put a testing 155-6 on the board and the Warriors closed just short on 149-6 at SuperSport Park in the premier T20 competition in South Africa.
Although there was ultimate disappointment for Ackermann, both he and Foxes teammate Cameron Delport were among the competition's top 15 run-scorers and also made other important contributions.
Delport represented Dolphins and made 216 runs at 27.00 while claiming ten wickets at an impressive average of 17.40. The all-rounder was one of only ten bowlers to reach double figures in the wicket-taking column.
Ackermann scored 229 runs at 28.62 and also took nine catches, placing him as the second leading outfielder in the competition.
