Foxes to play at Wanderers on pre-season tour

Leicestershire CCC’s touring squad will have the fantastic opportunity to play at the iconic Bidvest Wanderers Stadium during the pre-season tour to South Africa.
The Foxes will play a 50-over fixture against bizhub Highveld Lions in Johannesburg on Wednesday, February 22. This match is the second game confirmed for a test match venue on the tour, with the first against Multiply Titans at SuperSport Park, Centurion on Sunday, February 19.
The Bidvest Wanderers Stadium recently hosted both a T20 International and One-Day International between South Africa and Sri Lanka and is a venue steeped in history and tradition.
Leicestershire CCC Head Coach Pierre de Bruyn said: “Our players are relishing this unique opportunity to play at the Wanderers, which is a world-class venue known by everybody all around the world.
“I would like to thank Head Coach Geoffrey Toyana for his magnificent support in arranging a game against the bizhub Highveld Lions.”
