Leicestershire Foxes’ opening NatWest T20 Blast opening fixture against Lancashire Lightning will now be played at Liverpool CC on Sunday, July 9 (2.30pm).
It follows the news from last week that Emirates Old Trafford will host a third concert of the summer as Radiohead play live at the venue on Tuesday, July 4.
Radiohead were due to perform two shows on July 4 and 5 at Manchester Arena but following last month’s tragedy, the venue was left with no option but to cancel their concerts. Emirates Old Trafford is keen to support its fellow venue in the city, which has gone through such a challenging time in recent weeks.
Leicestershire played at Aigburth when it last hosted a T20 fixture in July 2009 with Jim Allenby and Iain O’Brien shining in a fine Foxes win.
The fixture is now an all-ticket game, and Lancashire are in the process of contacting their Members, Season Ticket holders and ticket holders with more information.
All remaining tickets will go on general sale from Thursday, June 29 with tickets priced at £25 for adults and £5 for juniors.
For ticketing enquires, please call Lancashire CCC on 08444 999 666.
