Foxes Trio Fall One Step Short of US T20 Final

Foxes trio Sol Budinger, Michael Finan and Roman Walker are set to return to Leicestershire after exiting the US Open T20 Premier League at the semi-final stage.
After helping Samp Army to victory in all three of their group stage matches, the side fell one step short of the final with defeat to Dallas All Stars in yesterday’s (12 December) elimination fixtures.
Budinger, who ended the competition with an average of 34.67, guided his side into the final four with a composed 31 not out from 25 deliveries during Sunday’s nine-wicket quarter-final success over the Titans.
The left-hander also starred with both bat and ball in a man-of-the-match performance during Samp Army’s 77-run group stage win over CVUCC, smashing 67 from 44 balls (3x4, 5x6) and taking 3/23 from his four overs.
Michael Finan starred with two wickets on his first appearance for the franchise, while Roman Walker claimed 1/17 on an economical debut earlier in the competition.
Elsewhere, Assistant Coach Alfonso Thomas led Clarion County Asia United to the quarter-finals, although his side was felled by a former Fox, as all-rounder Ben Mike took 3/11 to set Masters CC on their way to a five-wicket win.
