Honours Boards added to the Charles Palmer Suite

During the winter months, Leicestershire County Cricket Club have assessed and looked at the Uptonsteel County Ground to emphasise the historic moments that have occurred at the Ground.

Through the support of the Club’s Official Partner, Clements Retail, specifically designed Honours Board have been installed in the Charles Palmer Suite today.

The Honours Boards list every player who has scored a Century or achieved a Five-For at the Uptonsteel County Ground since records began across all cricket formats.

The Honours Boards detail the players name, the date, opposition and the score or bowling figures for all visitors to celebrate the success.

Leicestershire County Cricket Club CEO, Sean Jarvis commented: “Fan engagement is important for us and it’s not always about being on the end of a phone or available to field a query. Sometimes it’s about giving something for our members and supporters to look at, chat about and discuss the great names that have played for the Club.

I personally remember some of the performances on the boards and it brings back some great memories. There is plenty of space for our future stars to earn the right to have their name on the Honours Boards as well.”

Clements Director, Dale Page added: “The honours boards not only recognise past endeavours, but also act as an inspiration for the future. We look forward to regular updates and to see the names of current Running Foxes alongside those of their predecessors.”
