ICC Nissan Trophy Tour a huge success

The ICC Nissan Trophy Tour was a massive success in Leicester. A video of the tour is available to watch HERE.

While in the city and county on Sunday, the ICC Champions Trophy and ICC Women’s World Cup visited Kibworth CC, where a girls softball tournament was taking place.

They then travelled to Grace Road, the third day of the game between Leicestershire and Kent, where Chief Executive Wasim Khan MBE and Club Captain Mark Cosgrove were pictured with the trophies.

The tour moved on to Leicester Caribbean CC, where Foxes star Aadil Ali met more children with a passion for cricket.

Both trophies visited Crown Hills Community College on Wednesday before moving on to Leicester city centre.

They were situated in an appropriate place, right next to the Sporting Capital statue, which was built given all of the success that Leicester has had over the years. Pictures taken included a marriage proposal, which must have been a first for a trophy tour!

The ICC Nissan Trophy Tour concluded with a special evening at the Town Hall with Leicester City Council. Guests were invited to a Civic Reception with Councillor Piara Singh Clair, Assistant City Mayor for Culture, Leisure and Sport.

It was great to see so many people enjoying seeing the trophies and having their photos taken with them. Thanks to everybody who came along and supported the various events.
