Introducing the Talking Foxes Podcast

Leicestershire County Cricket Club are delighted to announce a new digital media venture for the Club, through the development of a podcast titled, the ‘Talking Foxes’.
In collaboration with the Club’s Official Media Partner, BBC Radio Leicester, the podcast will provide fans with a new way to engage with the Club.
This is the first podcast to be produced by Leicestershire CCC and is in-line with the Club’s commitment to drive engagement with Members, fans, supporters and partners, whilst fitting in with the Club’s value of being open.
"This is a great venture as it provides a completely new way for members and fans to engage with the Club.
“We have ideas already as to how the podcast can develop across the season so that we’re providing content that fans want to engage with.
"I’d like to thank BBC Radio Leicester for their support across the past few months to bring the podcast to light.â€

During the season, the podcast will focus heavily on activities that are happening on the pitch with a key focus on the first team, to preview upcoming matches, discuss key performances and to gain an insight from the coaching team at the Club. Special guests including, Head Coach Paul Nixon, Captain Colin Ackermann, Vice Captain Callum Parkinson alongside other first team players and coaches who will be featuring on the podcast.
“I have always felt that BBC Radio Leicester are particularly passionate about giving county cricket and Leicestershire the coverage it deserves.
“With this new podcast, I hope that we are able to bring the performances and personalities of the players, coaches and staff at the Club to a new audience, and provide a more accessible, convenient way to listen to the latest from the Leicestershire camp.
"Both me, and Richard Rae, our brilliant Foxes commentator and co-presenter on ‘Talking Foxes’, are extremely grateful for the access Leicestershire have given to us for the season ahead, and we look forward to many more working together.â€

There will also be a defined feature slot for both the Academy and the Women’s team to focus on their progress throughout their respective seasons.
During the off-season, the podcast will focus more on the winter activities at the Club, with an emphasis on the four remaining Club pillars; Commercial, Community, Company and Cash.
Members and fans are encouraged to submit their questions in advance by tweeting the Club @leicsccc or using the #TalkingFoxes.
The podcast is available to listen to via the BBC Sounds website or by downloading the app. Each episode will be aired every Tuesday evening.
