Josh Inglis Earns Hundred Call Up

Leicestershire County Cricket Club are delighted to announce that overseas wicketkeeper batsman, Josh Inglis has been selected for the inaugural edition of The Hundred.

Signed by the Leicestershire Foxes for the 2021 Vitality Blast off the back of his impressive record in the Big Bash League (BBL), Inglis has played a huge part on the Foxes’ Blast campaign, high scoring for Leicestershire in the competition to date, with a supreme 62-ball 103 not out.

Inglis’ reached his 1,000th career-T20 run during the fixture against Durham Cricket at the Uptonsteel County in yet another impressive season in T20 cricket.

The milestone was brought up with a BBL total of 941 runs at an average of 29.41 and an excellent strike-rate of 143.45 in that particular competition.

Inglis, whose 103* against Northamptonshire Steelbacks was a maiden century in the shortest format, will replace Glenn Maxwell in the tournament.

He will join Australian legend and London Spirit Head Coach Shane Warne and play alongside England captain Eoin Morgan at the Home of Cricket.
