Our Family Fun Day Returns!

Bring the whole family together this Summer!

Leicestershire County Cricket Club can announce that the Club’s famous Family Fun Day makes a return to the Uptonsteel County Ground this season on Sunday 14 August.

The Running Foxes will face Warwickshire in the Royal London Cup in the height of the school summer holidays.

Last year saw over 3,000 spectators attend our Family Fun Day and the Club is planning for this year’s event to be bigger and better.

Entry will be just £1 per ticket for all visitors!

Matchday Activities

There will be live music and entertainment for the whole family, with a wide range of fun activities between 11am and 4pm.

Don't miss the Live Animal Displays taking place either side of the interval inside the Mike Turner Cricket Centre with up to 15 different species of wild animals on display.

The Fan Zone will be open throughout the day and our professional coaching staff will be in the Foxes Den running different activities for children to try out and learn new cricket skills as well as taking part in our Jungle dance sessions!

Whilst you’re in the Foxes Den, have a go on the various inflatables. There will also be face painting and you can get creative with some arts and crafts activities.

Autographs

There will be free autograph posters available with opportunities throughout the day and post-match to get player autographs. You can purchase a signature bat from any one of our retail outlets.

Interval Activities

During the 45-minute innings interval, weather permitting, you’ll be able to make your way on to our hallowed turf, with a bat and ball, and have a bit of cricketing fun! Look out for Charlie Fox, who will also be on the pitch meeting his fans.

Food & Drink

There will be an array of food outlets and bars available around the ground to enjoy, including the popular Meet Café & Bar, which reopens this season, and will be serving hot and cold food throughout the day, including vegetarian options, plus the Friends of Grace Road, which will be serving their delicious famous homemade cakes during the afternoon.

For a more formal meal option you can dine in our Charles Palmer Restaurant, which will be serving lunch throughout the afternoon. The menu options change daily and are cooked using a majority of freshly procured local ingredients.

There will also be an ice cream van and sweet stalls stationed around the ground throughout the day.

Please note that the Uptonsteel County Ground is now a cashless stadium and all payments for food and beverages must be made via a debit or credit card.

Admission for the day is just £1! For fast-track entry to the ground, you can book your tickets online HERE.

You will be sent e-tickets closer to the date of the Family Fun Day, which will be scanned on entry for fast-track access to the Uptonsteel County Ground.

If you do not book your tickets in advance of the day, tickets can be booked via the ticket office on Curzon Road, subject to availability.

Car Parking

Saffron Lane Athletics Stadium, LE2 7NQ, is available to park in throughout the day, at a price of £5. The gates will open at 9:30am for anyone looking to utilise the car park. The car park is a 15-minute walk from Uptonsteel County Ground.
