LCCC & Morningside continue successful partnership

A partnership between Leicestershire County Cricket Club and Morningside Pharmaceuticals Ltd is to continue following the renewal of naming rights for the Morningside Medical Centre at the Fischer County Ground, Grace Road.
Since 2016 the Morningside Medical Centre has provided treatment facilities during matchdays, as well as for the local community. The medical centre, in the lower meet, provides Leicestershire County Cricket Club players with state-of-the-art match preparation and rehabilitation support from injuries.
The medical centre has a space for a private treatment room, an open plan treatment area and an adjoining trauma room which doubles as a crowd medical facility for use by St John’s Ambulance on matchdays.
Leicestershire County Cricket Club Chief Executive Wasim Khan MBE said: “Prior to the creation of the Morningside Medical Centre we had to treat players and visitors off-site. This was not ideal as you have to act quickly if someone becomes seriously ill and requires urgent medical treatment.
“The Morningside Medical Centre is an important part of our new set-up here at the club. We’re delighted to work in partnership with Morningside Pharmaceuticals to be able to offer expert medical support to our players, visitors and the local community.”
Dr Nik Kotecha OBE, who is Chief Executive of Morningside Pharmaceuticals Ltd, has been a keen supporter of Leicestershire County Cricket Club for many years. Dr Kotecha is an active member of the club, supporting the club's Commercial Advisory Group, which provides business advice to help the club continue to grow and develop new opportunities.

“This is an important part of our ethos at Morningside and our sponsorship of the Morningside Medical Centre will ensure that everyone visiting the ground will have access to emergency treatment on-site in a modern fully equipped medical facility.”
