Leicestershire CCC is delighted to announce a new four-year deal with kit manufacturer Surridge Sport.
The club is excited to launch a partnership which will see brand new styles in training and playing apparel, while professional players, Academy team, Leicestershire Young Cricketers and Leicestershire Women’s and Girls teams will wear the same T20 kits in 2020.
Leicestershire CCC Chief Executive Karen Rothery said: “Surridge Sport were very proactive in their bid, producing designs which we loved. We felt that they got us and that they really wanted to work with us.
“They have been very accommodating to our needs and they are going to be a great partner for us going into the future. We are aware of their reputation in the business and know that they are fantastic suppliers of team kit.”
Having started her career in the garment industry, Karen has a lot of experience dealing with manufacturers and highlights that Surridge Sport’s bid fit the bill.
She said: “Having worked in the clothing industry for over twenty years, that experience helps to make the right choice about the right kind of partner to work with. We liked what they said about our specific design needs, potentially working with us on small batch quantities which we may need, and the bespoke element of the kit.
“We know that Surridge Sport would be an absolutely fantastic partner across the club for the next four years. I am really looking forward to working with them because the designs that they have already produced are fantastic.”
Surridge Sport will become the club’s new kit manufacturer from February 2020, with replica kits and a range of merchandise available to buy both through the club and online.
Head Coach Paul Nixon is excited by the new partnership. He said: “Everything that Surridge Sport have produced, and the way they went about their business, was outstanding. They had the latest technology in fabrics and design, and were changing things in front of our eyes. It is very much state of the art and that is exactly what it’s about.
“We want our players and our fans in the best kit possible. We talk about elite standards on and off the pitch and that is what we want to keep creating. It is important that guys wear a high-class kit, look the part and feel the part, and we are absolutely delighted with our partnership with Surridge Sport.”
James Gray, Project Manager for Surridge Sport, added: “We are delighted to announce the new partnership with Leicestershire County Cricket Club. "We are excited to work with the county for the next four years and provide a high standard of service, design and quality. The initial design meetings have gone well and we are excited to launch the new kit."
