LCCC socials see huge increase throughout 2021

The numbers are in for LCCC’s social media channels in 2021, and we have seen exciting progress across all social media platforms due to the incredible support from the Foxes fans.

We have become one of the fastest growing cricket teams across the 18 first-class counties, achieving over 100,000 follows on Facebook, over 1 million live stream views on YouTube, and the launch of a TikTok channel, targeting a younger age demographic.

Last year saw Foxes TV, Leicestershire CCC’s official YouTube channel subscribers increase 154% over the course of the year. This rapid growth ranks the Running Foxes as the second fastest growing team on the circuit.

During the 2021 campaign, every home game was streamed on Foxes TV with a peak of 169,000 views in a single T20 Vitality Blast fixture, and 1.4 million total live stream views.

Foxes TV will once again be streaming all 2022 home fixtures, including when the Running Foxes host welcome India to the Uptonsteel County Ground.

The YouTube channel will be enhancing the content in 2022, including exclusive behind-the-scenes content that gives you access to the players like never before!  

A major milestone was reached on the Club’s official Facebook account in 2021, as the club exceeded 100,000 followers. This tremendous achievement became inevitable after Facebook following increased to the third fastest growth rate across all counties.

Further, Leicestershire CCC has seen rapid growth over 2021 in Facebook likes and Instagram followers, achieving the second highest percentage growth for Facebook likes and growing a staggering 42% on Instagram.

Head of Marketing and Consumer Sales, Jack Bradley said: “Our supporters are the heart and soul of the club, it is fantastic news that we are continuing to grow the Foxes family, and reach new audiences with our social media content.

“This is just the start of Leicestershire CCC’s journey, we plan to improve on this throughout the 2022 season with plenty of exciting projects coming up.
