Leicestershire Launch ‘Kids Go FREE’ Campaign for England Women’s ODI

To mark the general release of tickets (Tuesday, 15 March) for the visit of England Women in July, Leicestershire County Cricket Club can announce a ‘Kids Go FREE’ initiative, which will allow under 16s free entry for the highly anticipated WODI fixture.
Heather Knight’s England side are set to take on South Africa Women in the final match of their Royal London series, in a day/night ODI at Uptonsteel County Ground on Monday, 18 July (2pm start).
Grace Road has become a fan favourite for hosting Women’s International cricket in recent years, having successfully been a host venue for the ICC Women’s World Cup in 2017, as well as the Women’s Ashes in 2019, while the Club also hosted an entertaining England vs New Zealand WODI fixture last summer.
Falling at the start of the school summer holidays, the fixture offers the perfect opportunity to see some spectacular international cricket in Leicestershire, potentially in a series-deciding match under the lights.
Jack Bradley, Leicestershire CCC’s Head of Marketing & Consumer Sales, said: “We are extremely excited to continue our recent tradition of hosting England Women at Uptonsteel County Ground.
“We are hoping this fixture will provide a platform to help inspire the next generation to get more involved in playing and watching cricket.
“The match falls during the school summer holidays and is a perfect opportunity for boys and girls to get a taste of international cricket in our city.â€
The campaign is available for all under 16s, provided they are accompanied by an adult, until 30 April. Adult tickets are priced at £15 “ both bands can be purchased HERE
In addition to our ‘Kids Go FREE’ initiative, the Club is also offering a discounted pricing structure for students, with tickets available for just £5 “ which can be purchased HERE
Tickets have already been in high demand, with LCCC recording an 86% increase in first-day sales “ a trend that has continued throughout our priority access window. Supporters are encouraged to purchase their tickets ASAP in order to secure their seats for the special fixture.
