Lions name squad for tri-series

England Lions has announced a 13-man squad for the forthcoming tri-series against India A and West Indies A, with two of the fixtures to be played at the Fischer County Ground.
The Lions squad includes Sam Curran and Craig Overton, who made their test match debuts in recent months, and Matthew Parkinson, the twin brother of Leicestershire CCC leg-spinner Callum.
On the batting front, a number of faces familiar to Foxes fans will be involved. Tom Kohler-Cadmore, Sam Hain and Liam Livingstone have all played 50-over cricket against the Foxes in recent weeks, as has captain Steven Mullaney.
Nick Gubbins and Ben Foakes are also in the squad, Liam Dawson provides another spin option alongside Parkinson, while Matthew Fisher, Reece Topley and Tom Helm will be vying for places in the seam department.
Former England batsman Mark Ramprakash will be Head Coach of the Lions, who will play against India A at the Fischer County Ground on Tuesday, June 26. India A is also in action on two other occasions at the home of Leicestershire cricket – against the Foxes on Tuesday, June 19 and West Indies A on Monday, June 25.
Youngsters such as Prithvi Shaw, Rhishabh Pant, Shubman Gill and Sanju Samson, who have all shone in the IPL, have been named in an India A squad coached by former India batsman Rahul Dravid.
The West Indies A squad has a mixture of current ODI internationals, including captain Jason Mohammed, and some exciting youngsters. Their Head Coach is Floyd Reifer.

West Indies A squad: Jason Mohammed (capt), Sunil Ambris, Jermaine Blackwood, Rahkeem Cornwall, Dominic Drakes, Chandrapaul Hemraj, Chemar Holder, Andre McCarthy, Keemo Paul, Rovman Powell, Raymon Reifer, Devon Thomas, Oshane Thomas, Jomel Warrican.
