Lutterworth and Kibworth maintain pace

Lutterworth and Kibworth maintained their respective title pushes in the Leicestershire and Rutland Premier League sponsored by Everards.
The leaders picked up an extra five points than rivals Kibworth by batting first as Matt Pickering shone in a 65-run victory.
Pickering top-scored with 80 as Lutterworth posted 193-8 and Barrow Town were bowled out for 128 with the home seamers sharing the wickets.
Kibworth restricted Harborough to 205-8 in an innings where Zak Chappell made 20 for the visitors. The home side then eased home by seven wickets with 18 overs to spare as Sundeep Patel (100) and Pite van Biljoen (71*) put on 144 for the second wicket.
Sileby Town, like Barrow, slipped off the pace at the weekend as Craig Crowe led Hinckley Town/CCA to a thrilling one-wicket success.
Dave Torr top-scored with 68 as Sileby scored 181 and opener Crowe scored 96 not out to lead his side to victory. Jigar Naik scored 9 and took 2-39 for Sileby.
Loughborough and Rothley recorded 25-point victories at home to Leicester Ivanhoe and Thorpe Arnold.
Thorpe were bowled out for 154 as Rob McKinley and Nil Patel claiming four-wicket hauls and their side completed a routine seven-wicket victory.
Rothley bowled Ivanhoe out for 106 as Charlie Dagnall claimed 4-25 and Ali Azmat took 3-8 and the batsmen knocked off the target for the loss of five wickets.
Syston dominated from start to finish in their victory against Kegworth. The home side scored 319-4 as Ram Ghuman scored 109* and Charles Hurley made 94 and Alex Wyatt and George Corbett shared six wickets as Kegworth were bowled out for 96.
* As well as contesting the league title race, Lutterworth and Kibworth are also the frontrunners in the cup competition.
Lutterworth will take on Kibworth in the County Cup Final on Sunday, September 6th at Grace Road in a match that starts at 12 noon.
The semi-finals were played over the weekend with Lutterworth having an excellent win against Kegworth in which captain Ollie Pickering made 133 not out.
