LV= County Championship Division Stage Fixtures Confirmed

Fixtures for the Divisional Stage of the 2021 LV= County Championship have been announced, with the Running Foxes due to face Kent CCC, Sussex CCC, Derbyshire CCC and Worcestershire CCC in the remaining four first-class fixtures of the season.

Middlesex CCC occupy the final spot in Division Three, but Leicestershire will not face them for a third time in Championship cricket as both teams came from Group Two during the earlier stage of the competition.

Instead of a third fixture with Middlesex, each team takes half of the points accrued against one another during the Group Stage into Division Three.

Leicestershire currently sit in fourth spot in the division, on 11.5 points.

Leicestershire’s Division Three campaign gets up and running with a home fixture against Kent CCC on Monday, August 30.

The Running Foxes then make the short trip to the Incora County Ground to face Derbyshire CCC on Sunday, September 5, followed by the second of two home fixtures as Sussex CCC make the trip up from the South Coast on Sunday, September 12.

The LV= County Championship season then comes to an end with an away fixture at New Road, against Worcestershire CCC beginning on Tuesday, September 21.

Upon the announcement of the remaining Championship fixtures, Head Coach Paul Nixon said: “There are some great fixtures against some good teams. It’s been a while since we’ve played Kent, so good to play them again. Then we head to Derbyshire who we’ve played against many times in recent years.

“We’ve had some good performances against Sussex in the past and then we finish with Worcestershire away who we’ve met a few times recently.

“We’ll prepare well against everyone, as we always do and we’re really looking forward to finishing the season on a high in front of our members and fans.”

Tickets and Hospitality Packages for both home LV= County Championship fixtures are now on sale and can be purchased online. 

Advance tickets can be purchased online and are priced at £15 for adults and £5 for U16s.

Hospitality Packages are priced at £60pp +VAT with private boxes available for 8, 10, 12 or 25 people. The new Marquee Hospitality Package is also available.
