Mamma Mia! Open Air Cinema

Leicestershire County Cricket Club is excited to be screening the smash hit ABBA musical Mamma Mia! at the Uptonsteel County Ground on Saturday, August 21 as part of a double header open air cinema event. Mamma Mia released in 2008 tells the story through hit songs by the popular 1970s group ABBA of a young bride-to-be who invites three men to her upcoming wedding, each one with the possibility of being her father. Join us under the stars with a picnic and a blanket or deck chairs as you sit back and relax on the cricket outfield as the film is shown on the big screen. We will be offering traditional cinema food and drink so expect to see popcorn, hot dogs, sweet stall and much more on sale so you can enjoy the movie in style! There will also be children’s activities including a bouncy castle and face painting. Gates will open at 5:30pm with the film starting at 7pm. Family tickets are available for £28 (2 adults and 3 children), while individual tickets are priced at £9.50 for adults and £4.50 for children. Please note that prices will increase if there are any tickets available on the day. On-site car parking can be pre-booked for £5 and, due to high demand, we recommend booking in advance.
