Foxes fan Mark Francis had a birthday surprise when attending the NatWest T20 Blast opener against Northants Steelbacks last night.
Mark’s daughter Laura tweeted the club with a picture from the red seats in front of the David Gower Executive Suite and her dad then won the Marston’s EPA Fan Of The Match award.
Star batsman Umar Akmal won the Marston’s EPA Man Of The Match award following a poll on social media, scooping 62% of the vote.
Clint McKay picked up the award on behalf of Umar, so Mark and Laura were photographed with one of their favourite Foxes players as they presented the honour.
Mark won a crate of Marston’s EPA which he said was a nice way to cap off what had been a nice birthday.
“Thanks for a great night, it was great to watch the game, present the award and meet Clint. It was also good to see Jersey Budd playing live,” said Mark.
It was Laura’s first visit to the Fischer County Ground and she said that they will definitely be coming back in the future.
Please look out for our next Marston’s EPA Fan Of The Match competition that will be run during the Worcestershire Rapids game on Friday, June 17.
