The Fischer County Ground is still undergoing some redevelopment work in certain areas. Access to the Milligan Road side of the ground is extremely limited, and the Red Monkey Play area will not be open during the first match. Please avoid those areas of the ground wherever possible.
The car park for David Gower Executive Club members will be out of action for the entire four days of the Kent game due to ongoing ground development work.
Unfortunately for the first game, public access to the Maurice Burrows Balcony is not available. This facility will be available for the second Specsavers County Championship game against Northamptonshire on Sunday, May 8. We apologise for any inconvenience the ongoing work will cause during the first game against Kent.
Our Milligan Road turnstiles will no longer be open for Specsavers County Championship games. Please use the gates at Curzon Road or Park Hill Drive, where scorecards will be available to purchase at the price of £1 each.
We have a wide range of food and drink options for the first game, including additional outlets for our Open Day on Sunday, and all information is available here: http://www.leicestershireccc.co.uk/food-and-drink.html.
The club has produced an Access Statement ahead of the 2016 season, which is available to download here: http://www.leicestershireccc.co.uk/access-statement.html.
We have received some travel information from Leicester City Council ahead of a busy weekend. Thousands of visitors are expected in Leicester this weekend as the city prepares to host a wide range of cultural and sporting events.
On Sunday, the city is set to host three key sports events, including Leicester City’s home match with Swansea City, two parades and a continental market, as well as a number of smaller events, meaning the city’s roads may well be busier than usual. Please allow some extra time before coming to the Fischer County Ground.
Please note that car parking will be limited at the ground on Sunday, a website link with parking information for the 2016 season is available here: http://www.leicestershireccc.co.uk/car-parking.html.
