Leicestershire County Cricket Club is pleased to announce a number of player sponsors and renewals ahead of the 2016 season.
Abacus Lighting, the company that is doing a terrific job installing the floodlights at the Fischer County Ground, Grace Road, is sponsoring batsman Ned Eckersley this season.
The 26-year-old Eckersley has been ever-present for the club in first-class cricket over the last three summers, scoring more than 3,000 first-class runs in the process.
Churchgate Auctions are continuing with their sponsorship of the club and their chosen cricketer is 2015 Players’ Player of the Year Ben Raine.
Raine had an exceptional 2015 in which he passed the 50-wicket mark in the Specsavers County Championship for the first time and was joint leading wicket-taker in the NatWest T20 Blast.
Holiday Lounge is continuing their sponsorship of promising slow left arm spinner James Sykes, and Jim Funnell, the former owner of Houghton Garage, is again sponsoring highly-talented all-rounder Tom Wells.
Leicestershire CCC Commercial Director Jim Overend said: “All of our player sponsors are greatly appreciated and it’s fantastic to have Abacus Lighting, Holiday Lounge, Churchgate Auctions and Jim Funnell on board with us. We thank everyone for their continued support of their club.”
* There is still the opportunity to join us as a sponsor ahead of the 2016 season. For all player sponsorship and corporate opportunities please call Corporate Sales Manager Tracey Branson on 0116 245 2464 or email traceybranson@leicestershireccc.co.uk
