Leicestershire CCC is pleased to announce a renewal of the partnership with MSC Nutrition, who will continue as our official nutritional suppliers in 2016.
Excellent nutrition is key to physical preparations, performance and recovery, and MSC Nutrition has provided specific advice for the forthcoming pre-season trip to Dubai.
The schedule will provide a number of challenges, such as travel, training and playing schedule and, most importantly, the heat. Having spent a winter in the UK, Leicestershire CCC players will not be acclimatised to the temperature in Dubai, which will be around 20 degrees higher than they have been experiencing.
Leicestershire CCC Head of Strength and Conditioning Crofton Alexander said: “The club enjoys a fantastic partnership with MSC Nutrition and extending our partnership for another year is a massive boost to the players, particularly ahead of our pre-season tour to Dubai.
“The key to the trip will be MSC’s hydration supplement Ionic Drive, which increases absorption and delivery of carbohydrates during exercise and also rehydrates the players during a day’s play. MSC’s bespoke products will be hugely important to our players.
“MSC Nutrition provides all of our nutritional needs and also offers a high level of expertise in their field. Our players see huge benefits to their preparation and recovery for training sessions and matches.”
Senior player Neil Dexter joined the club over the winter and having vast experience of playing abroad, the all-rounder values the importance of the products that MSC Nutrition provides.
Dexter said: “It is vital to have good nutritional support and advice in professional cricket, particularly on a pre-season trip to a warmer climate, and we’re delighted to be working with MSC Nutrition.
“I have been to South Africa and Nepal with the MCC this winter and know that it can take time for the body to adapt to different conditions. It’s great to be working with MSC Nutrition ahead of what is going to be a big season for Leicestershire County Cricket Club.”
MSC Nutrition has developed a range of elite sports products which provide world class supplements for our players, who will continue to exclusively use the company’s products before, during and after training sessions and matches.
Rhys Dyer, Business Development Director of MSC Nutrition, said: “We are excited to be working with LCCC again this year. Our close relationship entails us to be able to work together, developing specific nutritional strategies with the aim of improving the team’s performance.”
