Wiaan Mulder has marked a successful season as a Fox by being selected for the PCA Men’s Team of the Year through the Most Valuable Player (MVP) Rankings.
The rankings, which give an ultimate XI from across this season’s domestic men’s cricket, also rewarded the South African with the Royal London Cup Player of the Year award last month.
Mulder earned 395 MVP points, after recording 533 runs at an average above 88 and 14 wickets in Royal London Cup, while scoring 689 runs and taking a further 14 wickets in LV= Insurance County Championship.
Nominees were picked out from the game’s top performers across each competition, accounting for batting, bowling and fielding contributions, as well as match-defining contributions using a unique algorithm developed with CricViz.
The 24-year-old was also highly decorated at the Foxes’ annual End of Season Dinner Awards last week, winning six of the 11 trophies on offer to him.
PCA Men’s Team of the Year: Adam Lyth, Shan Masood, James Vince, James Bracey, Harry Brook, Will Jacks, Wiaan Mulder, James Fuller Keith Barker, Simon Harmer, Sam Cook.
