Mulder Nominated for August PCA POTM

Leicestershire all-rounder Wiaan Mulder has been nominated for the PCA Player of the Month award for August.
It follows a spectacular Royal London Cup campaign for the South African international, in which he scored 533 runs at an average of 88.9, including five fifties and one century, alongside taking 14 wickets at 28.9.
Mulder’s performances saw him top the MVP Rankings by a significant amount, boasting a huge total of 178 MVP points “ 43 points clear of second place.
The 24-year-old won a Match MVP award and 39 points for his imperious knock of 116 not out against Middlesex, as well as taking 4 for 47 with the ball during the Foxes’ 15-run win at Radlett.
Nominees are selected by the PCA’s Most Valuable Player Rankings, which picks out the game’s top performers across each competition. The MVP takes into account batting, bowling and fielding contributions as well as match defining contributions using a unique algorithm developed with CricViz.
Mulder has been nominated alongside Northern Superchargers’ Adam Lyth, Middlesex’s Stevie Eskinazi and Oval Invincibles’ Will Jacks.
