Sileby Town moved to the top of the Everards Leicestershire and Rutland Premier League with a winning draw against Lutterworth last weekend.

With the bat for Sileby Dave Torr top scored with 40, Mitchell Buck scored 39 and Jake Gillett 35, getting Sileby up to 231. In reply Lutterworth got off to a solid start with Ollie Pickering and Matt Pickering putting on 53 for the first wicket.

Alec Hill and Hack then put on 50 for the third wicket and at 106-3 Lutterworth would have fancied their chances of chasing Sileby’s 231. However, Sileby captain Jigar Naik had outstanding figures of 10-2-19-5 to blow away the Lutterworth middle order. In the end Sileby couldn’t take the final wicket with Lutterworth finishing up on 186-9.

Kibworth and Barkby, who are second and third, played out a high-scoring draw in the final game of the division. Barkby won the toss and elected to bowl but Sundeep Patel and Matt Craven put on 205 for the first wicket.

In reply Syston lost three early wickets to give Rothley hope but Charles Wootton steadied the ship with 45* to see his side home for the loss of four wickets.

Sardeep Salgotra and Stan Galloway had given Barrow hope taking seven of the eight wickets to fall but despite their best efforts Market Harborough just got home.

Skipper Anish Patel was the mainstay of the innings scoring 103, he was well supported by fellow opener Joe Purvis 73. For Kegworth George Scottorn was the standout bowler taking 3-44 from his 10 over allocation.

However from 76-2, Kegworth lost eight wickets for just 78 runs resulting in them being bowled out for 154. James Rishton and Nathan Bowley both took four wickets for Loughborough.
